APPG’s next meeting on Tuesday 1 December with the Social Metrics Commission

APPG on Poverty’s first online meeting will take place on Tuesday 1st December at 10am – 11:30am on Zoom.

The APPG, supported by Child Poverty Action Group and the Equality Trust, will be hearing from Matthew Oakley of the Social Metric Commission on their methodology for measuring poverty as well as findings from their latest report. The remainder of the session will be a discussion around the solutions needed to end child poverty for good.

10:00 – Welcome and introductions by Co-Chair, Neil Gray MP
10:15 – Social Metrics Commission presentation from Matthew Oakley, followed by discussion
10:45 – What should be in the Government’s plan to tackle child poverty – discussion introduced by Louisa McGeehan, CPAG
11:20 – AOB and arrangements for next meeting
