What is the future of social housing?

Most commentators now agree that the shortage of housing in the UK is reaching crisis proportions, with rental costs rising sharply and those on low incomes particularly seriously affected. The aim of this event is to explore how we got to this point and what the government, housing providers and the planning system can do to address the problem. In particular, the event will examine what is meant by ‘social housing’ and what role it should play in the future.
