Join us for the launch of Orbit and CPAG’s Happy, Healthy Starts report, which outlines practical actions to help tackle child poverty. It will share steps that can be taken by housing providers, organisations and businesses to make a difference to the communities where they work.
Over the last 18 months we have been speaking with children and parents living in our homes about the challenges they face. We have sought advice and insight from fellow housing providers, charities, politicians and experts to see what we as a sector can collectively do to help these families.
As one of the largest housing associations in the country, with more than 16,000 children under the age of 16 living in our homes, and the fact that in some parts of the UK more than half of all children are now growing up poor, child poverty matters to us.
Host:
Kevin Hollinrake MP, Co-Chair, APPG on Poverty
Speakers:
Alison Garnham, Chief Executive, Child Poverty Action Group
Paul Richards, Executive Director Customer Services, Orbit
Kevin Rodgers, Chair, West Midlands Housing Association Partnership
