Please RSVP on Eventbrite by clicking here.

The APPG on Migration and the APPG on Poverty invite you to the launch of a joint report to share the findings of our Inquiry into the Effects of UK Immigration, Asylum and Refugee Policy on Poverty in the UK.

Chaired by Baroness Ruth Lister, Co-Chair of the APPG on Poverty and Vice-Chair of the APPG on Migration, this event will include a presentation of the finding from the secretariats of both APPGs and reflections from Parliamentarians who have been involved in the inquiry; from key figures in the poverty sector; and from those with lived experience of the UK migration system.

The inquiry’s written call for evidence received over 220 submissions. Along with oral evidence sessions hearing from sector experts and those with lived experience, in total over 165, 000 words of evidence were collected.

This will be an open event for MPs, Peers and those working in the migration and poverty sectors to reflect on what the inquiry found and the recommendations made. The launch will run from 11am -12pm, and from 12.00pm – 12.30pm there will be a chance to reflect more informally with other attendees over tea and coffee.
