Parliamentary launch of London’s Poverty Profile 2017

Invitation to all London MPs and peers:

We are delighted to invite you to a London Child Poverty Alliance (LCPA) breakfast event to launch London’s Poverty Profile 2017 on the United Nations’ International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The event is being hosted together by the APPG on Poverty and the APPG for London.

London has the highest rates of poverty in England, and as a London MP at this event, you will be given information for your constituency on a wide range of indicators including income poverty, housing, education and debt.

Come and hear from speakers from Trust for London and New Policy Institute (npi) about London’s Poverty Profile project and be given the latest official data to reveal patterns of poverty across the capital, with comparisons to the rest of England and other cities and between sub-regions and boroughs within London.

There will be refreshments, as well as copies of the report available and a photo opportunity.

We hope that the event will help deepen Members’ understanding of the causes and current nature of poverty in London and commitment to working with us to tackle it.
